SMFI participates in the 2011 International Franchise Expo
 

The International Franchise Expo featured the best business opportunities ranging from new franchise concepts to established brands in the food, retail and service categories – both homegrown and international and from micro to large investment levels.

Coinciding with the Expo was a Conference that featured international and local experts and speakers who talked about franchising updates and opportunities across the globe. Attendees were given the rare opportunity to learn from a select group of industry leaders– Jollibee, 7-Eleven, Krispy Kreme and Mang Inasal - on what made their brands successful. Franchise experts talked about challenges and opportunities in the franchise sector. There were also break-out sessions for Franchisors and Franchisees on various topics on Franchising such as Concept Development, Licensing and Site Selection to name a few.

SMFI took part in the Expo by showcasing its various franchise concepts – Monterey Meatshop Plus, Hungry Juan and Smokey's. It was truly a joint effort by Sales, Marketing and Business Development as they present the concepts to more than 5,000 prospects looking for business opportunities and partnerships. There were also leafleting, recipe card and coupon giveaways as well as food sampling done in the booth. Computer monitors were also set up to entice attendees to like the Facebook Fanpages of Monterey Meatshop Magnolia Chicken Station and Hungry Juan.

This yearly event is participated in by SMFI as a means to acquire would-be investors for their franchise offerings. One of SMFI'smajor thrust is to build more Monterey Meatshops in strategic locations nationwide.
